MTU Business student has successful placement  with Collins Brooks & Associates 

Background
Collins Brooks & Associates LLP is a solicitors’ office in the town of Clonakilty, in the heart of West Cork. Established in 1943, for the past 80 years, Collins Brooks & Associates have provided legal advice to the Cork community and nationwide using their vast experience and expertise. This has made them a trusted legal partner for both private individuals and businesses for generations.

The Need
Collins, Brooks & Associates take on university students to aid in tasks around the firm. This exposes students to the day-to-day runnings of a law firm that may inspire them to pursue a legal career while also being able to give back to their local community.

The Solution
Andrew O’Mahoney is a Bachelor of Business student at Munster Technological University. As part of his studies, he participated in legal modules covered by the Bachelor of Business degree that allowed him to gain an understanding and appreciation for the law and legal practice.
In his third year of studies, Andrew was required to do a placement for the second semester. Remembering his fondness for the legal side of his business studies and with the help of his lecturer, he reached out to Collins Brooks & Associates LLP, who hired him as a Legal Intern.

The guidance and experience Andrew received during his internship inspired him to pursue a legal career, prompting him to pursue further education in legal studies after completing his undergraduate at MTU.
