MTU is Recruiting Employers for Laboratory Apprenticeship Programme
13 June, 2022
MTU’s Department of Physical Sciences is seeking to recruit employers to take on apprentices for the Laboratory Apprenticeship programme - combining learning in the workplace with academic study.
Funding under the new Apprenticeship Employer Grant will provide payments of €2,000 per apprentice per year for apprenticeships that do not attract payment of off-the-job training allowances.
MTU is offering two Laboratory Apprenticeships:
The programme is designed by Quality and HR professionals in conjunction with education partners and provides apprentices with the current skills required to work in any regulated laboratory environment.
Apprentices will spend two days on campus at MTU and three days on-site with their host company during the academic semester.
Laboratory apprenticeships can help build a talent pipeline by combining excellent educational qualifications with special on the job training that ensures work-ready graduates from the programme.
