Generation Change
15 April, 2022
MTU and Cork’s RedFM Corks have joined forces to launch ‘Generation Change', a competition for second-level students.
Combining environmental expertise with the media skills needed to get messages heard, the ‘Generation Change‘ offers students the chance to attend a podcast workshop designed to encourage, empower and inform participants how to lead the change they would like to see in the world today.
To be in with a chance to attend the podcast workshop, secondary students from all over Ireland are invited to create slogans reflecting their concerns and ambitions for planet sustainability. Slogans can include text, photos, videos and/or animations, and the most creative and impactful will feature on MTU and RedFM social media accounts.
The creators of the top 25 slogans will be invited to participate in the RedFM podcast workshop on MTU’s Bishopstown Campus.
The workshop will feature talks from MTU experts in planet sustainability and students will learn podcasting skills from RedFM media experts, including News Editor Lana O’Connor.
The most impactful ‘Generation Change’ podcast concept will be recorded in Cork’s RedFM studio and published on RedFM.ie and MTU.ie websites.
