Rubicon Centre Partners with Impact Hub @ Crann
29 March, 2022
Launched on the 25th of March, the Impact Hub @ Crann is Ireland's first fully inclusive and purpose-built co-working space.
The Hub caters for 17 users, with five spaces reserved for use exclusively by people with a disability. Located at Crann Centre in Ballincollig, the Hub has been developed in partnership with the Rubicon Centre at MTU and Ballincollig Business Association and sponsored by AIB, Cork City Council and The Open Doors Initiative.
Businesses operating from the Impact Hub will benefit from support and mentoring from the Rubicon Centre and Cork City and County Local Enterprise Offices.
The Rubicon will provide enterprise and innovation supports to Hub users. These will include access to resources and funding from Enterprise Ireland Technology Gateways and the knowledge and expertise available at Munster Technological University.
MTU president Prof Maggie Cusack said the university was delighted to partner with the Impact Hub to deliver inclusive regional entrepreneurship supports that would allow all members of society to explore their dreams in this new entrepreneurial setting.
"Already, the partnership has provided opportunities for the Crann Centre, MTU and the Rubicon to work together on the Impact Hub and the Innovation Challenge", Prof Cusack added.
