MTU President Professor Maggie Cusack will open the event, and our host Michael Loftus VP External Affairs will be joined by a panel of industry experts who will share their personal experiences of collaborating with MTU - highlighting the benefits, challenges, and what they’ve learned along the way.

Richard Parker - Dell Technologies

Director of Cyber Security Infrastructure at Dell Technologies, Richard will speak about his close collaboration with MTU’s CYBERSKILLS project in developing pathway offerings, and in actively improving the cybersecurity talent pool in the south region through Dell engagement.

Carmel Hallissey - Clearstream

Carmel is Ireland & UK Human Resources Manager for Clearstream, a leading European supplier of post-trading services. Carmel will share Clearsteam's experience of engaging with MTU's Work Placement Programme and its contribution to the company’s graduate recruitment. 

Ronan Emmett -Boston Scientific

Ronan is Learning & Talent Development Manager with Boston Scientific with over 20 experience as a global HR professional.  A regular speaker at major HR conferences, Ronan will talk about the Strategic Learning Partnership developed with MTU and how it contributes to Boston Scientific’s overall talent management goals.

Lesley Tully - Penny FS Technologies

Lesley is an entrepreneur, designer and founder of Penny FS Technologies - helping women to accelerate their journey to financial wellness and freedom. Lesley will share her experience of partnering with MTU’s Nimbus Research Centre to design the innovative financial services platform for Penny FS.

Barry Williams - Mott MacDonald

An Associate with Mott MacDonald, Barry manages the Civil/Structural Department in Cork and is responsible for the Built Environment Building Structures and Building Services resources across Ireland and Scotland.  Barry will discuss Mott MacDonald’s collaboration in taking work placement students and graduates, and acting as an external examiner for MTU courses.
