CIT is Recruiting Employers to Take on Apprentices for the BSc Engineering Services Management programme

CIT’s School of Mechanical, Electrical & Process Engineering is seeking to recruit employers to take on apprentices for the BSc Engineering Services Management programme.

The programme is funded under the Apprenticeship Incentivisation Scheme providing financial support for apprenticeship employers wishing to retain current employees with a craft background seeking to progress into supervisory / management roles.

Apprenticeship employers are eligible for a €3,000 payment for each new apprentice who is registered between the period 01 March and 31 December 2020. €2,000 per apprentice is payable at the point of registration. A further €1,000 is payable in Quarter 3 2021 for each eligible apprentice retained on their apprenticeship.

The programme is delivered remotely, one day per week (Fridays) over two years leading to a Level 7 BSc qualification in Engineering Services Management.

The programme would suit existing skilled technical personnel such as electricians, plumbers, fitters or metal fabricators, etc, involved in M&E construction or Utilities / Facilities Maintenance.

Minimum entry requirement is a Level 6 Advanced Craft Certificate in an engineering services related discipline or equivalent.
