CIT Crawford College of Art & Design’s BA Visual Communications Students Rebrand Green Spaces For Health
04 September, 2020
CIT Crawford College of Art & Design’s BA Visual Communications students partnered with Green Spaces for Health (GSFH) to redesign their brand and improve how they visually communicate their message.
GSFH is a community initiative coordinated by Cork Health Cities to encourage and support the greening of the city, promote greater biodiversity and health for people while building a resilient, inclusive community.
CIT CCAD student’s worked closely with GSFH to understand their message and communicate it effectively. Denise Cahill, Coordinator, Cork Healthy Cities said the students demonstrated significant patience and technical nous when working with the GSFH team who had no digital or design experience.
“The standard of care was exceptional, of particular note was their manner of protecting the integrity of their design whilst at the same time being flexible and open to changing certain elements”, she added.
Students worked in teams delivering their preliminary and final team presentations remotely via video calls. The winning design chosen by GSFH was created by Kane Curtin, Ioana Cretu and Bryan Seale, and launched in August 2020 on their website and Facebook page. Read the case study here
