Countdown to Beyond IOT 2020
15 January, 2020
The countdown is on for Cork’s Global Tech Conference, 'Beyond IoT 2020' which takes place on the 20th and 21st of January at Cork Institute of Technology.
Over the past two years, the Nimbus Research Centre has delivered and grown this unique annual conference focussing on Visionary and Deep Technology. Tickets are still available and range from Startup €50, Academic Rate €100 and €400 for Standard 2. More information can be found here.
You’ll be in good company with an incredible line-up of industry leaders, influencers and decision-makers at the highest organisational level. Beyond IoT have announced Lauren Knausenberger, Director of Cyberspace Innovation U.S. Air Force as a keynote speaker. Lauren will bring a wealth of knowledge and value in relation to cybersecurity to Beyond IoT.
Other speakers include award-winning and global advisor on emerging tech Dr Sally Eaves; 'The Ethical Hacker’ Ralph Echemendia; Andrew MacAdam of Microsoft and the News Editor of CoinDesk John Biggs. View the full list of speakers here.
Due to increased demand, this year's event is being held over two days incorporating two stages. Day two of the event will focus primarily on Start-Ups under the theme of ‘Creating your new Technology’. It will include workshops presented by the Nimbus team as well as a space for both Microsoft and Arrow to create one to one clinics, workshops and seminars with start-up organisations.
These clinics will provide invaluable advice and guidance on how attendees can facilitate investment, drive technology innovation, create collaborations, and foster new commercial relationships. This is an essential event for all who want to understand where this new wave of technology and investment is heading and how it can be best harnessed and utilised.
Richard Linger, Nimbus Research Centre Manager, said the event will move further afield in the coming years. “Our objectives are not just to have Beyond IoT in Cork but we are finalising arrangements with the US and China. Next year, we will definitely have Beyond IoT in China,” he said. “In 2021, we will have three events around the world; one in Europe in Cork; one in China, probably in Shanghai; and one in the US in a location to be determined.”
