CIT SIGMA Group Researcher to Present at Network Virtualisation & SDN Conference in Berlin
15 May, 2019
Mark Roddy from CIT’s SIGMA Research Group has been invited to present some insights from the H2020 SliceNet Project at Network Virtualization & SDN Conference in Berlin on May 23.
As a partner in the H2020 SliceNet Project, the SIGMA Research Group are currently researching 5G network slicing for an in-ambulance telestroke assessment. SIGMA have now deployed a prototype of their machine-learning telestroke assessment service at the Dell EMC testbed in Ovens, Co Cork.
Through this SIGMA designed service, SliceNet is aiming to provide quality of service (QoS) guarantees through end-to-end (E2E) network slicing over future 5G networks. Mark’s presentation will cover how SliceNet proposes to deliver these QoS guarantees in an E2E slicing framework for this in-ambulance use case.
The Network Virtualization & SDN Conference will be covering a range of key areas, including network transformation, management and orchestration, 5G, edge computing and network slicing. It provides the attendees with the opportunity to hear from the top operators and vendors paving the way for NFV and SDN, meet with their industry peers actively researching and deploying network virtualization solutions, and much more.
