CIT Architecture Students wins ESAI Award

Aoife Hayes, an MSc by Research student in the Department of Architecture has won the Environmental Sciences Association of Ireland (ESAI) Best Overall Oral Presentation at Environ 2017, which was held from the 10th to the 12th April in Athlone IT. Congratulations to Aoife on this significant achievement. The annual Environ Conference is the largest Environmental Conference hosted in Ireland and Aoife won the overall award in competition with Masters and PhD students from all the major Higher Education Institutions on the island of Ireland.
Thanks to Katherine Keane, Head of Department and the staff of the Department of Architecture who have supported Aoife throughout her studies and in particular to her supervisory team of Dr. Garrett O’ Sullivan, Martin Boylan and Dr. Jim Harrison.
Aoife’s award is very timely as the Environ 2018 conference will be hosted here in CIT for the first time next year from the 26th to the 28th March, 2018.
